C. D. (Charles Douglas) Jackson (1902-1964) was born in New York City, and received his A.B. degree from Princeton University. From 1924 to 1931, Jackson was President of C. D. Jackson & Co. marble and stone import business. In 1931, became the Appointment Assistant to the President of Time Inc., and in 1940, became President of Council for Democracy.
